Itinerary
From the square in Sottomonte go eastwards along Via Miani, Via Pastori and Via Sottomonte. Just before the crossroads between Via Tomba and Via Ciago turn left and take the small road (leaving a stable on the right) that leads into the woods. Follow the tarmac road and at the fork take the downhill dirt road that leads back to another tarmac road just below. Follow it to a dirt road that runs along the slopes of the mountain to the village of Toppo. Back on the tarmac road, turn left at the STOP sign towards Palazzo Wassermann. Then follow Via Castello to the right southwards and after crossing Via Wassermann go along Via Solimbergo. Immediately after the overpass, take the dirt road on the right that runs alongside the railway and leads you to road SR552 near a farm. For 200 m continue on road SR552, leaving the railway station on the right and at the level crossing take the cycle track that starts on the left and follow it until you reach the industrial area. Leaving all the factories on the right, continue to the STOP sign where you turn right and head straight for the church of Ciago, beside which is the “Piera da l’aga”. Before arriving at the church, turn left (signposted bicycle path) until reaching the crossroads with Via Ciago, where you turn left northwards. At the crossroads with Via Vian turn left and at the next crossroads with Via VI Maggio turn left again southwards. After about 150 m, turn right onto the dirt road, which after a few hundred metres becomes a path (Troi dal Gjat). Pass between the houses to return to the starting point.
